DesertUSA is pleased
to announce the new DESERTUSA ONLINE COMMUNITY. It is currently being beta tested, so if you would like to help with this process please visit the link below to sign up for a FREE DesertUSA profile and participate in our new online community. Let us know what your feedback is on the sign up process, provide us with any errors or feedback you have related to the sign up process and tools available. It is a work in progress so you will see some changes as we continue to prepare to launch the Community.
The purpose of the DesertUSA Community is to provide FREE profile pages and tools on the DesertUSA Web site for individuals and organizations to share information about the desert and related activities.
By signing up for a FREE profile page you will receive your own personal Web page where you can share information, photos and videos with friends, family and other individuals who have similar common interests. DesertUSA Community Members all have one thing in common . . . an interest in the desert and the many outdoor activities available in desert parks and regions.

FYI the first question on the sign up page is "Choose Your Url" some
people are confused on what this is. It is just a web page location of your new
profile page. Most people just put in their first name, screen name or a nick
name. Example: members.desertusa.com/lynn or members.desertusa.com/yournicknamehere.
DesertUSA Videos: We
are now adding 2 to 3 videos a month to DesertUSA.com. Each video is
one to two minutes long and covers an animal, plant or place to go.
Now, in addition to reading and seeing pictures about a location or
animal, you will be able to experience them in a video. Click
here for a list of videos available now. The new Flash 9 player plug-in for browsers has greatly improved video presentations for the Internet. We intend to use it to improve your DesertUSA experience with more great sounds and video of the desert. To update your browser to the latest version of Flash click here.
New
videos: The
Mud Caves of Carrizo Badlands, the
Anza Borrego Badlands,
Are You Riding
Your ATV over Gold?,
and the Ocotillo
Wells SVRA.
Do
you have any interesting video clips of the desert? Let us know
what you have. E-mail feedback.
