Utah has more national monuments, parks and recreation areas (thirteen) than any other state, and the Utah Atlas & Gazetteer covers them all - with an invaluable section containing maps and specialized information for each location. Find the best access roads, locate picnic areas, hiking trails, campsites, discover scenic drives and unique natural features, and get background information, plus the phone number for the Superintendent's office for each location. Statewide, the atlas highlights BLM and state lands in color, and includes information on activities as diverse as river trips and downhill skiing. The scale is 1:250,000 or 1" to 2.4 miles. A mosaic of all the maps would measure 6 1/2 feet wide by 7 1/2 feet high.
