Making a Dog's Life a Lot Better

Stiffness, limping, or favoring a limb (particularly after sleep or resting), inability to rise, reluctance to jump or even climb stairs, and sometimes noticeable pain - the most common signs of arthritis and joint disease in dogs.

A dog’s life is a short one when compared to a human life and that is why we should help them get the most out of their time on earth.

I have two dogs that I have had since they were 8 weeks old. We named them Rio and Oso. I always enjoyed watching them run and play as puppies and young adults. Running through the fields chasing rabbits, digging for gophers, howling at the coyotes and chasing the local bobcat.

At about four years old, the male dog Oso started to limp, and slowly got worse. He had difficulty completing our morning walk. I didn't want to leave him in our yard because I knew how much he loved going on the walks with Rio and me.

Our Veterinarian said he may have some arthritis and joint problems which are common in large dogs. The most common signs of arthritis and joint disease in dogs include stiffness, limping, or favoring a limb (particularly after sleep or resting), inability to rise, reluctance to jump or even climb stairs, and sometimes noticeable pain - and he had them all.

There are drugs for the condition but they are costly and come with some serious side effects. There are some natural remedies for the conditions which revolve around MSM, Chondroitin, and glucosamine; each have different compounds that help with joint problems. They help increase the joint lubrication and decrease the pain.

I knew from my personal experience that glucosamine worked for joint problems because I am taking glucosamine for my hip problems and it works. I gave Oso his first glucosamine pill on a Monday and by the end of the week he was much better. He still had some trouble getting up after a nap but was usually ok in a minute or two. I increased his dosage to two pills a day and things got somewhat better. For a dog his size three pills a day is the recommended dosage but I like to start slow and see what works.

With some research I came across a new product by Dr. Colleen Wilson, Ph.D., Animal nutritionist/physiologist. That product is called Nimble for Dogs. This product’s formula combines the ingredient glucosamine HCl with fatty acid CMO analog, plus omega-3 fatty acids & yucca.

After trying Nimble on Oso for 30 days all signs of his arthritis and joint pains were gone. I was so impressed with the results of Nimble that I decided to add it to the products that we sell on DesertUSA. I know many desert lovers also have dogs and maybe some of you have dogs with similar problems. Try it, you will know with the first bottle if it will help your dog. I think you and your dog be pleased by the results. Then let us know your story. (

We just have to say that our 9 year old border collie Ty is absolutely thriving since we started giving her Nimble. We had tried her on a couple of other products that we purchased from a veterinarian, but she had become so lame that we were actually considering euthanasia to ease her pain and suffering.

However we were not ready to let her go since her and our 2 year old daughter have become best friends, so we tried Nimble....Ty went from being a dog who could barely get up to being very energetic. She just finished her first bottle and she definitely moves with a lot more ease, and after an active day at the barn she is full of energy the next morning rather than full of pain and stiffness.... What an amazing change! - Mike and Kerri

We are very happy with this product. My dog which is a Rottweiler/Doberman cross, was diagnosed with hip displasia about 4 months ago. We tried several other products that were recommended by our Vet. They were rather expensive and did not work as well as Nimble. Within about a month of using Nimble, my dog quit limping and was running and playing again.

This is great news considering she is only 1 1/2 years old. If we run out of Nimble before our order arrives and she goes without for a few days, the limping returns. Yes this product really does work great and does wonders. Thank you for discovering this product and allowing dog owners to improve the health of their dogs. - Ted and Pauline
